About us

Our Community Centre is the focal point for a population dispersed over a multitude of lakes and rivers on the edge of the Canadian Shield. We are located on the 507 highway, 20 km north of Buckhorn Ontario or a 40 minute drive north of Peterborough. We are close by the Lakes of Catchacoma, Mississagua, Gold, Beaver, McGinnis and Cavendish.

The Centre includes a Fire Hall, a Community Policing Station, a branch Library, meeting halls, children’s playground, ball park and an outdoor pavilion. It has a variety of year round clubs and activities that become extra busy when the ‘seasonal’, folk return in the Summer expanding the permanent population ten fold.

We invite you to explore our community and share a taste of Cavendish hospitality. View our events calendar for info on activities.

YOUTH GROUP

The Cavendish Youth Group is supported by the Community. The adult supervisors are Sue Warren, Kathy Warren and Joanne O’Heron. Weekly meetings are held on Thursday 6pm at the centre.
