Mayor’s Levee

You are Invited!!! Mayor Janet Clarkson and Members of Council cordially invite you and your family to the Mayor’s Levee on New Year’s Day, Tuesday, January 1, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Buckhorn Sports Pad, Buckhorn Cultural Centre, 1782 Lakehurst Road, Buckhorn.

*** Hot Chocolate + Hot Dogs + Coffee ***

Meet your Mayor and Council members. Celebrate the New Year with your neighbours and meet with old friends and make some new. This is a family event for all ages.

There will be a free public skate at the outdoor Buckhorn Sports Pad. Please bring your own skates and helmets. We do have some skates available on site to use.

There will also be snowshoeing and winter baseball fun!

Temporary Closure – Cavendish Rink

Temporary Closure of the Cavendish Rink

Due to health and safety concerns with the condition of the rink boards and concrete curbing, the Township will be temporarily closing the Cavendish Community Centre outdoor ice pad..
For the safety of the public, the rink will be temporarily closed while the Township investigates repair options. Any updates to the status of the rink will be posted on the Municipality’s website.
The rink will be fenced off in early January 2019. Any questions or concerns, please contact the Municipal Office: 705-738-3800

Christmas Pot Luck Party – Dec 15th

xmas1Please come out and join your neighbours as they celebrate the festive season. We will be gathering at the Cavendish Community Centre on Friday December 15th and would like dinner to start at six p.m. SHARP! (LOL)

Bring along your favorite dish and join us for dinner followed by some entertainment and hopefully a special visitor. If you would like to be part of the evenings entertainment please contact Louise Jackson at the Cavendish Library or Kathy Warren.


We would also ask that you bring a donation for the food bank. Thank You !
